Door Bottom Seals are designed to seal the gap between the bottom edge of the door and the floor. Door bottom seals regularly specified by architects and designers include sweep seals with brushed strips or rubber strips, surface mounted Automatic door bottom seals and mortised or concealed automatic door bottom seals.
Raven threshold plate seals are an efficient solution to seal gaps between the bottom edge of the door and the floor of outward opening doors. Threshold plate seals are ideal for use with other Raven seals such as door frame perimeter seals, astragal seals or Bulkhead seal to offers maximum sealing protection.
Raven threshold plates are hard anodised, aluminium extrusions that are fitted to the sill under doors; they provide a clean delineation between adjacent floor surfaces. A weather barrier in themselves, threshold plates provide an optimum sealing surface for door bottom seals.
Perimeter seals or frame seals effectively seal the gap between the door and the frame, applied on either side of the door frame and at the top. While most perimeter seals are compression seals, the Raven range also includes Intumescent seals which are specialised seals used with fire rated doors and frame.
